Outerhope

There will be a CD launch by the musical duo called "Outerhope" at the Magnet Cafe in Katipunan on December 10 at 9:00pm.

One of the members of Outherhope is our fellow architect Micaela Benedicto, a graduate of the UP College of Architecture.

Their CD is really good. You can hear some samples of their songs at their website http://www.outerhope.com/index.html

Definitely try out the swingy and catchy "Another Daybreak", my current favorite among all their songs. Other songs like the inspiring "Race to the Sky", the heart wrenching "Moving Away", the other catchy "Sky High Blue" and the hypnotizing "Makisama" are also songs in the album that must be listened to. There's also the dreamy instrumental "Learning to Rollerskate" and other songs that are just as good. It's a solid CD.

Here's their profile as seen on their website:

Outerhope was formed when siblings Mike and Micaela Benedicto decided to collaborate on songs built with minimal instruments: guitars, keyboards, and vocal harmonies.

Outerhope’s sound is introverted, absent-minded, and somewhat whimsical. Their first attempt at studio recording is the independent album Strangely Paired, a collection of songs that have constant references to transitions and forms of travel.

The band has performed live in Conspiracy Bar, Gweilos, and Café Saguijo, and will launch their album soon at Mag:net gallery. Joon Guillen completes the band by providing electric guitar parts in live performances.

Strangely Paired was produced by Outerhope and recorded by Shinji Tanaka at Sound Creation studio.

I'll check it out. Thanks and "Happy Holidays".
Hindi na uso ang "Merry Christmas" dito sa U.S. eh.
Sobrang pa-politically correct na kasi ang mga tao. Dapat daw "Happy Holidays" para inclusive of other religions and not just Christians. Of course maraming Christians ang nagagalit.
If you aske me, if people really wanted a greeting that would be relevant and more in tune with what the holidays season is, they might want to try saying "Happy Shopping".
